Races of Orbis
238 playable Endless Leveling race forms across 27 families, built from Hytale's own NPC models, with nine custom passives.
Races of Orbis
Races of Orbis turns Hytale’s own NPC models into playable Endless Leveling races. 238 race forms across 27 families, using 197 distinct Hytale NPC models.
Every family is a four-stage ascension chain – base → tier 1 → tier 2 → final – and each form uses a different vanilla NPC model, so ascending visibly changes what you are.
Up to date for v1.1.0. Requires Endless Leveling Core 11.1.2 or newer.
This is by far the largest addon here. If you want a single race rather than a megapack, the Demon, Elf, Fairy and Gnome addons are standalone and much smaller.
The 27 families
Every family follows the same three-role split – martial / skirmish / arcane – so a player picking Frostbone Rimeblade and one picking Ashbone Scorchlance are on comparable curves with different flavor. Balanced against Endless Leveling’s own 72 built-in race forms.
| Family | Forms | Lineage |
|---|---|---|
| Wolf | 9 | Beast wolves |
| Skeleton | 10 | White bone through the ranks, charred black at final |
| Frostbone | 10 | The frost sibling line |
| Sandbone | 10 | The sand sibling line |
| Ashbone | 10 | The ash sibling line |
| Trork | 9 | Green through to Chieftain |
| Goblin | 10 | Moldy / Vapid / Muddy, plus size |
| Kweebec | 10 | Seedling → Sproutling → Sapling |
| Void | 9 | Larva → Crawler / Spectre → constructs |
| Scarak | 7 | Hive castes |
| Feran | 10 | Cub → bone / free / poncho lines |
| Outlander | 10 | Warband ranks, gear-driven |
| Zombie | 10 | Rot variants plus the Aberrant mutation |
| Slothian | 10 | Kid → village vocations, by fur color |
| Crystalborn | 7 | Golems: elemental crystal → forged |
| Klops | 7 | Prospectors: the shaft vs. the counting-house |
| Saurian | 7 | Red-plume vs. blue-plume lineages |
| Spirit | 7 | Elemental wisps |
| Animus | 8 | Living armor, by material grade |
| Primeval | 10 | Cold-blooded: lizards, serpents, dinosaurs |
| Prowler | 7 | Ambush predators: cats, bears, the Yeti |
| Skyborn | 10 | Raptors / corvids / night hunters |
| Wilderkin | 10 | The herd: sheep, deer, moose, Mosshorn |
| Thornborn | 7 | Bramble folk → Hedera |
| Deepkin | 10 | The shoal, with a jellyfish color lineage |
| Plaguebound | 7 | Undead livestock |
| Lycan | 7 | The curse: beast line vs. hollow line |
Prestige gates follow Endless Leveling’s own built-in races: 0 / 5 / 10 / 20. Each final form also requires its tier-2 parent.
Nine custom passives
Nine behaviors Endless Leveling’s own passive system cannot express, implemented by this addon and shared across families – a race joins a passive by declaring it in JSON.
| Passive | Families | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Pack Bond | Wolf, Trork, Goblin, Scarak, Outlander, Deepkin | Bonus damage and defense per nearby player, capped. |
| Relentless Momentum | Saurian, Primeval, Animus | Stacks damage and haste while in combat and unhit. Any hit resets you. |
| Deathless | Ashbone, Frostbone, Sandbone, Plaguebound | Negates drowning, suffocation and poison – 80% at tier 2, 100% at final. |
| Sunbrittle | Skeleton, Zombie, Lycan, Void | A real trade: bonus damage and haste at night, amplified incoming damage by day. |
| Thornskin | Thornborn, Crystalborn | Returns 18–25% of melee damage to the attacker, capped per hit. |
| Photosynthesis | Kweebec, Wilderkin | Regenerates 0.25–0.4% max health per second in daylight, under open sky only. |
| Unhurried | Slothian, Klops | Stacking defense that builds while standing still, lost the moment you move. |
| Ambush | Feran, Prowler | +40–60% on the strike that opens a fight. Re-arms after 6–7s of dealing no damage. |
| Updraft | Skyborn, Spirit | Jump again in mid-air for 4–5s of real flight, and take no fall damage on the way down. |
Exactly one custom passive per family, and only on tier 2 and final forms. Base and first ascension run on pure Endless Leveling passives, so a custom passive reads as something the line grows into rather than a starting perk.
All nine are tuned per-race in JSON, so a server owner can retune without a rebuild.
