Vampire

The Vampire is one of the Mythical Creatures added in Update Version 3, alongside the Werewolf.

What it does

• Transforms the player into a Vampire, swapping their model and skin over to a custom Vampire appearance while keeping their own hair and cosmetics.
• Lets players choose their eye color (Dark Red or Red, plus three more with Mermaids Premium) and skin color (47 colors with Premium) in the Vampire menu.
• Automatically hides armor and cosmetics that aren’t compatible with the Vampire model while transformed, and restores them when the player transforms back. Armor you have switched off in Hytale’s own armor-visibility settings never hides anything.
• Grants a movement speed change while transformed.
• Opens a Blood Drain window with /mc vampire drain: while it is open, a share of every point of melee damage you deal comes back as health. On a cooldown that survives a relog. See Blood Drain.
• Can be given an optional sunlight and blood survival mode by an admin: Vampires burn in daylight (but are never killed by it outright) and must feed to keep a Blood meter up. Off by default. See Sunlight and Blood.
• Like the other creatures, transformation zones can be whitelisted or blacklisted per world/instance by a server admin.
• Can be forced on for a player by a race lock, or a player can toggle whether they’re allowed to become a Vampire at all.

How to become a Vampire

Pick Vampire as your active form in the Mythical Creatures menu (/mc). After that, the Vampire Transformation-Mode decides when you change:

• 0 (default) – always be a Vampire.
• 1 – transform only at night, or with a Vampire potion.
• 2 – always be a Vampire, with potions switched off.

Small, Medium and Large Vampire potions last 5 minutes, 15 minutes and 48 hours; see Potions. When a potion runs out, you change back.

Open the Vampire menu at any time with /mc vampire (or /mc vamp), or through /mermaids vampire.
